Much of Massachusetts’ history lies at the bottom of the sea. Over the centuries, more than 3,000 vessels have sunk off the state’s coast.
But time and the ocean have made finding shipwrecks a daunting task. Still, Bay State archaeologists are trying to catalog all of them.
WBUR’s Fred Thys went out recently with a team searching for one of Massachusetts’ sunken treasures.
